You’re not too smart. I like that in a man.
It’s no In a Lonely Place (Humphrey Bogart’s best noir sez me) but this is such a fun film. The dialogue is a bit stylized, it can’t help but pay homage to the B-movies of the 40’s and 50’s. And that makes it even more fun. Hurt is not as dim as he appears, he’s about half dim but thinks he’s smart. Sorta like some blogger whose name rhymes with Merpentine Melton. Brilliant cameo by Mickey Rourke, you cannot take your eyes off him. You’ll enjoy this movie or I will refund you the price of this review.
