youtuber “I Hate Everything” has had his channel removed for no reason

the-blue-hydra:

as of the 20th, a youtuber named “I Hate Everything” (otherwise known as alex) has had his youtube account terminated… for no reason. he received an e-mail from youtube that provided no real information, other than simply telling him his channel has been deleted. he has announced this on his second channel, “JAR Media”.

if you do not know who “I Hate Everything” is, he creates comedic rant videos about various topics: “I Hate the News”, “I Hate Hype Culture”, “I Hate Twitter”, “I Hate Dolphins”, etc. despite his name and branding, his videos are intelligently written. alex conveys his thoughts in a clever way and his hilarious dark sense of humor is the icing on the cake. he’s been building his channel for two years and had earned over 300k subscribers… until youtube pulled the plug. currently, alex is quite distressed and has no idea what to do. that’s where we help, and why i’m writing this.

sharing this post and using #FREEIHE is greatly appreciated, even if you don’t know or like alex. this model of guilty-until-proven-innocent that youtube runs off, the same system that has fucked with game critics like jim sterling and totalbiscuit via faux copyright strikes, is disgusting. people who make high-value content on youtube (that is to say, people who aren’t let’s play channels, prank channels or reactors) have so little power on the website and the fact that their channels can disappear at the drop of a hat with no real explanation while garbage content continues to thrive and make huge profit is sickening to anyone with a functioning mind.
