My 4-year-old nephew’s take on gender-role stereotyping:

Nephew: “Mom, this episode is about a girl who wears a tiara.” Mom: “Why do only girls wear tiaras?” Nephew: “Because girls are pretty and tiaras are pretty.” Mom: “So what are boys?” Nephew: “Very handsome.” Mom: “And what do they wear on their heads?” Nephew: “I’m afraid nothing.”
